Better Corporate Holiday Gifts

It’s that time of the year again! No, it’s not time to put your snow brush in your car (yet); it’s time to square away what your company will be gifting to friends and clients this holiday season.

At Block Club, we’ve always done our best to send out a thoughtful gift to our clients as close to early December as possible. This helps avoid getting lost in the holiday shuffle and the general craziness that comes starting mid-month.

We also recommend not settling for the expected. Don’t bother with a company calendar featuring beaches from around the world or a pile of chocolate that nobody wants but that everyone eats. Here are some ideas for you to use this holiday season.

  1. Consider making a donation to a local charity in the name of your clients. You could choose one organization to donate to, or you could select multiple organizations that line up with the values of your clients.
  2. Every office or desk could use a nice plant, and terrariums are a nice way to go. They can look great and don’t require a lot of maintenance.
  3. There’s always a need for a nice notebook to jot down some notes or ideas. Moleskin notebooks have always been a favorite of mine. You can even go the custom-branded route.
  4. I don’t know many people who don’t drink coffee. Chances are that all your clients would enjoy some nice coffee from a local roastery. I’d recommend sending some beans from Public Espresso.

Whatever you send this year, be sure to include a handwritten thank-you note. That extra detail goes a long way in today’s digital culture.
