Block Club began work on developing the brand for Hotel Henry in Summer 2013, nearly four years before it would open.
Our team conducted market research; developed brand positioning and the brand identity, including name, a logo system, stationery and brand standards; lastly, a brand introduction strategy included media outreach, an animated video, and a website.
When our work was done, we’d created a stunning new brand for what I consider to be the most tasteful, world-class renovation Buffalo has ever seen. For me, one of the highlights was getting to work alongside and collaborate with not only our client, but some highly respected names in the world of architecture—namely the team at Deborah Berke partners. Our brand work informed interior design decisions throughout the space, particularly with sporadic accents of yellow that came from the brand identity.
Every time I visit, I am wowed. It’s a stunning space to explore and get lost in. To have been involved in this historic redevelopment was a huge honor for my team and me.
