After the success of last year’s award-winning campaign, Unyts and Block Club came together to produce another round of videos for the organization’s “Check Yes” initiative. Headquartered in downtown Buffalo, Unyts is among the leading procurement organizations in the United States, and is one of the only eight centers nationwide to house laboratory services, and organ, tissue and eye procurement in one location.

Last year’s campaign won multiple ADDY awards, including Best of Show and a regional ADDY award. Those videos showcased four real Western New Yorkers on the waiting list for donor organs or regular blood transfusions. The spots highlighted the fact that people we know and see every day—our neighbors and coworkers—might be on that list and waiting for a life-saving phone call.

What is it like to know that your family member’s life relies on someone checking “yes” on a donor form? This year’s campaign features four new real-life stories.
The campaign was created and produced by Block Club, who once again partnered with photographer and videographer Rhea Anna and her team.

To support the campaign, Block Club designed a website at Unyts.org/checkyes that dramatically simplifies the donor registration process. All you have to do is visit the site and enter your information and Unyts will send you a completed form for you to sign, date and return.
