The Red Cross #MissingType Campaign

Last week, the American Red Cross launched a #MissingType campaign calling on new and lapsed donors to give blood and help save lives. With the help of some favorite corporations and brands, the three letters used to identify blood types—A, B and O—are disappearing from logos to help raise awareness about blood bank shortages.

With the number of blood donors shrinking by nearly 80,000 per year, this campaign will hopefully help ensure that lifesaving blood products are available on hospital shelves for patients in need.
