Where the past, the present and community collide.
Prior to opening the doors of The Grange Community Kitchen, owners Brad Rowell and Caryn Dujanovich approached Block Club to brand their hotly anticipated restaurant. Brad and Caryn come to the table with exceptional taste and global influence, having worked for some of the world’s most celebrated restaurants and retail brands. Block Club was an ideal match to help launch their community-minded brand with detail, nuance and sophistication.
We began with identity design and collateral package design, including stationery, a menu system, signage and a website featuring beautiful, large-scale photos of the gorgeous restaurant and immaculate food. The brand’s identity honors the building’s history as a former meeting hall for the local chapter of a national agricultural organization and echoes Caryn’s light, elegant interior design with a classic heritage look. The logotype includes tactile, old-school embellishments of modern, geometric letterforms and ornamentation that depict sunlight and harvest. A system of varied logo lockups offers versatility and cohesiveness. These details feed The Grange’s brand with the same honest qualities that drive Brad and Caryn’s unique vision and help to ensure a strong launch and future for this world-class restaurant.
